Half-Baked!

Brandon and I went back to the OB Monday for the growth scan at 19wks..Which was great because we got to watch the babies for over 25 mins on the u/s..They had to take photos of EVERYTHING!! All of their major organs: brains, heart, bladder, stomach, kidneys, as well as their spines, bones, etc..Baby B put his head on Baby A's stomach and started kicking her in the face and they looked like they were fighting each other..So the tech tried moving them herself..Which mad me want to pee myself..But after several more mins and me emptying my bladder we got all the photos we needed..Everything looked great the doc said..They both are weighting about 9 oz and are over a 1/2 ft long..They are too cute now that they look human and not so much alien anymore..It is just so crazy how big they have got in the past few weeks..The OB said they would double in size by the next apt in three weeks..I am going to be huge!..

I think they already know who daddy is..In the middle of the night they migrate towards Brandon..He can be sleeping (snoring), talking, or maybe they can feel his heartbeat when I am close to him..I am not sure..but it doesn't matter if I am on my right or left side, or if I am sitting up on my back they go to the side he is on..My stomach gets all lopsided and they start moving around a lot..It is cute..But I am scared they are both going to be daddy's girl and boy and then gang up on me!






On another note I am really starting to feel the babies a lot more now..Which is the greatest feeling ever, but it really hurts..My back is killing my stomach hurts..They always want to dance around when it is bedtime..This last half is going to be the longest part of this pg..

Next we need to decide on names and start getting the babies room together..This all is going by faster then I thought..Yet I really cannot wait!

Holy Crap Batman..

Half-Baked Survey...

Total weight gain/loss: I lost around 12 lbs due to m/s and have just got an 'appetite' back a few weeks ago wks ago..at my last appointment (2.5 wks ago) I had gained back the weight I lost and about three more lbs..But I am pretty sure that I have gained quite a bit more in the past two wks!

Maternity clothes? Pretty much a must at this point..If I wear my old pants they have to be unzipped and I have to wear a long shirt over them..My tummy is measuring 40ins so there is nothing I can wear to cover it up anymore..

Stretch marks? I have some on my breast that were there from like 5th and six grade when they got huge nad then left me.. I have a few showing up on my lower back, thighs and hips now..Nothing too bad yet..(crosses fingers) I know they are going to happen with twins, I just hope they don't decide to eat my tummy..

Sleep: Well..It has got to the point I cannot sleep on my back or stomach due to the babies..I flip flop from side to side, but it makes it hard to breathe..So I try and sleep sitting up a bit, but that never lasts..I am up and down a fee times a night to pee or cough/sneeze my lungs out..The babies (mostly the boy from what I can feel)love to dance around right as I want to fall asleep!..Poor Brandon has to deal with all of this, but I deal with his snoring so we are about equal!..Other then that I guess I am sleeping like a baby..

Best moment this week: Now that we know we are having a boy and a girl it is so exciting to start planning the room, and clothes..I am going to have too much fun with this!

Movement: Starting to feel them a bit more! I can tell certain things make then move more then others..When I walk around or do anything active they go crazy!..I love it soo much..I cannot wait until Brandon can feel them from the outside..

Food cravings: Nothing too crazy..I dont really 'crave' things..I just want certain foods sometimes!..haha..Apples, applesause, and apple juice are must haves..And I go thru a bag of ice every few days!

Gender: Boy and a Girl!! Best of both worlds..See something cute for either sex and I can buy it!!

Labor Signs: Oh no!..A few braxton hicks contractions once in a while..But lets keep labor out of the pic for at least 18 more weeks!

Belly Button in or out? I had the deepest innie belly button ever before pg..And now it is fighting to stay in..I have a feeling it will be an outie soon!

Wedding rings on or off? So far my fingers have not swelled at all!..(knock on wood)When I lost that weight they were getting too big and I thought I was going to have to have them resized..

What I miss: I miss yingling and other alcoholic bevs..I miss being active and working out a lot..I miss going out with friends, or other adults and not felling like crap lying in bed for most of the day..I miss getting things done around the house and I MISS my art..And tho I never really liked my body, I miss being able to move freely and not feel like a house..I miss being myself..But in the end they will be worth it!

What I am looking forward to: Getting the babies room ready, my baby shower, and my mommy and shea moving home..And of course them getting here late this summer..

New Blog, New Lives

Soo I have decided, because I need to keep up with dates, happenings, and photos, I need a new baby blog! Since I am into my 18th week I guess I need to update the blog to this point of the pg..

2009- Finished treatments to help level out my thyroid hormones and make it possible to get pg in the next year..or longer so I thought..

Jan 8th, 2010- Took three homes pg tests, all of which were pos within secs of urinating on them..A sign I later find out should have been a hint of things to come..



Jan 10th- Showed Brandon the pos pg tests and bawled me eyes out! Then had to tell Shannon, but she already guessed it before I could open my mouth..

Feb 16th- 1st OB appt with Dr.Thomas at Womens and Childrens..Brandon had class and I was told no u/s until later appts so there was no real reason for him to skip class to go with me..Uterus was 'measuring large' for 10 wks, so they decided to do an u/s to see if I was further along then I had told them..Which I knew was impossible, so I figured something was wrong..They did an interal u/s (which is not pleasant!) and I saw something strange..A few secs later the u/s tech asks if I am ready for big news..I said "OMG I am having twins aren't I?" She then confirmed..The home pg tests showed up so quickly because my levels were double..Shannon and Brandon had been joking about it for wks now and I really didn't expect to ever see two babies on that screen..I freaked..Didn't know what to do..Brandon had to work right after class and there was no way I could drive or function without telling him..He was in class so I txted him the u/s pic..(I know I suck but what was I spos to do?)..I run right to Shannons house to show her the u/s pics and vent..Then I called mom and told her I was pg..with TWINS!! She was speakless at first, said She guessed I was happy and got off the phone..I was crushed for about 10 mins, but she called back..She was in shock and didn't know what to say..Which we all were..Brandon just kept saying for wks, "Babe..we are having two..double everything! Two..more then one..What if there is another one?"





Feb 28th- Mom and Shea were in Columbus, OH for a cheer comp and Brandon and I decided to visit them since they were so close..I was about 12 wks along at this point and had my 1st u/s pics for mom to see..I had just started to show and my m/s was in full swing..I wanted to vomit every five secs and sometimes I did..By this time we had told almost all of out family, I believe. Dad was surprised but seemed excited..Named them God and Batman.. Popaw Norman hasn't been so excited since his own children were born..Dee, of course, freaked out and starting buying stuff..Popaw Shook is overwhelmed that Ashley and I both are having babies within a few months of each other..Brandons family was very excited as well..Curtis more then anyone..Nick wants us to name them after KISS members..All around good responses!




March 10th- 2nd OB appt at about 13wks and the first for Brandon to go to..I was scared they wouldn't do an u/s, but since I am high risk I get one every time!! He got to hear the heartbeats and see them moving around on the screen..It was a priceless moment we shared!



March 23rd- Since I would be HUGE on our planned october wedding date, we decided to move it up a bit..On our way to FL for spring break we stopped in Sunset Beach where we vacationed together this past summer..It was a beautiful beach wedding and I couldn't have planned it better myself!..I have the greatest hubby in the world! All of my dreams are coming true! I was about 15wks at that point and showing quite a bit..We stayed with mom and Shea that night and went baby shopping the next day..It wa a great week!




April 2nd- 3rd OB appt at 16wks, and we are having...a BOY and a GIRL!! They saw the girl first and Brandon had a fear in his eyes that he was going to be stuck with a house of girls, but then we saw the lil pee pee and he was relieved a bit..I was soo excited..It is what I have always wanted!








So thats a small part of our last few months..

A few days ago I started felling more movement..They love to move right when I want to go to sleep..Of course!..

My stomach and uterus are getting soo big and I am not sure how it is going to get much larger..It hurts! I lost weight b/c of my m/s but I have gained that back now and am working on more..Stomachs measuring at about 40in today at 18wks..Only halfway there and I am bursting..






Brandon has been AMAZING!! Waiting on me hand and foot..Working, going to school, cleaning, cooking, etc..I am worthless right now!..He rubs my feet and lotion all over me, which is helpful now that moving certain ways is starting to hurt..He is soo cute when he talks to my stomach, makes me fall in love with him a little more everytime..

I have to keep up with this stuff or I will forget it by the time they are here!
